(WHITE CO.) - Two people were killed in a crash in White County Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred just after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 18 and County Road 300 East.
White County Sheriff Patrick Shafer said a car was traveling southbound on 300 East and entered the intersection. That's when a truck traveling eastbound on State Road 18 collided with the car.
The two vehicles came to rest in the middle of a field.
Shafer said the car had two occupants, a male and female. Both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck also had both a male and female passenger. They were taken to St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette with non-life threatening injuries.
The names of those involved are not being released at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
