(STATEHOUSE) - A state lawmaker didn’t attend his own ethics hearing, and the committee will meet one more time before making a recommendation to the Speaker of the House.
The hearing largely consisted of committee chairman Greg Steuerwald reading the responses that Representative Eric Turner gave to written questions.
House Speaker Brian Bosma had asked the committee to review whether Turner broke any House or ethics rules with his actions on a bill that would have imposed a moratorium on new nursing homes in the state.
