(PORTER) - A local fisherman found a body floating in the water of Lake Charles in northwestern Indiana Sunday morning.
Indiana State Police, SCUBA divers and members of Porter Fire and Rescue found a female body dressed in dark clothing around 7:10 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled for this week to identify the body.
Lake Charles is where rescuers conducted a January search for a missing Michigan doctor. Dr. Teleka Patrick's car was found abandoned by an Indiana trooper on December 5 along Interstate 94 and near the lake about 15 miles east of Gary. Indiana State Police, the FBI and Michigan police were not able to find any evidence related to disappearance when they searched the lake.
No other details have been released.
