(UNDATED) - Loss of control and injuries are forcing Ford Motor Co. to recall more than 400,000 cars and SUVs.
The auto giant says Escapes made between 2001 and 2004 make up the majority of cars being recalled. Ford says there may be corrosion that could lead to a diminished steering control.
Nearly 49,000 Fusions, C-Max's and Lincoln MKZ's are also being recalled.
The company says those cars have seat frames that don't confirm to safety standards and could lead to injury.
