(UNDATED) - Indiana’s 2012-2013 graduation rate held virtually steady compared to the year before, according to data released by the Department of Education.
IDOE said the overall graduation rate was 88.6 percent across the state, nearly matching the previous school year's rate of 88.7 percent. The non-waiver graduation rose to 81.72 percent, up from 80.46 percent during the previous year.
According to education officials, the non-waiver numbers are important for federal reporting requirements and give a more comprehensive picture of the number of students who are passing their end of course assessments.
IDOE released more detailed information, including graduation rates by school and school corporation, public and non-public schools, and race and ethnicity.
