(KOKOMO) - Folks in Kokomo are coming together for their military veterans.
Come May 22nd, the Family Service Association of Howard County will celebrate the grand opening of Jackson Street Commons. It's a $3.6 million facility that will provide permanent housing to 27 previously homeless vets.
Executive Director Judy Dennis says the facility was funded with a $2 million federal grant and the rest came through other grants and private donations.
Dennis says the facility - located on Jackson Street in Kokomo - will also offer vets support services.
