(COLUMBUS) - Search efforts to locate a Michigan man believed lost in a kayaking accident in Columbus were unsuccessful Tuesday.
27-year-old Enrique Quinonez was swept away Sunday morning after his kayak capsized on the river. Searchers believe a pair of black shorts found just downstream from where the accident occurred may belong to the victim.
Quinonez did not know how to swim and was not wearing a life vest, according to DNR officials.
The search is expected to resume Wednesday morning.
