(INDIANAPOLIS) - A terminally ill woman could find out today if her marriage to another woman will be recognized in Indiana.
Amy Sandler and Niki Quasney joined a lawsuit filed last month that seeks to challenge the state's refusal to perform same-sex marriages or recognize gay unions legally performed in other states. Sandler and Quasney were married in Massachusetts. They are requesting immediate recognition of their marriage. A federal judge scheduled a telephone conference for the attorneys involved today.
