(FT. WAYNE) - The City of Fort Wayne introduced a new program to honor military personnel serving overseas.
Mayor Tom Henry announced Wednesday the Blue Star Banner Program for city residents and employees of city government deployed.
The first service member to be honored is Command Sergeant Major Brian Kiess. He is an actively deployed member of the Army Reserve and works in the City's Division of Public Works.
The banner for Kiess will be displayed later on this month.
