(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) - Here we go again: General Motors has announced its sixth recall this week.
Problems with the front brakes have the automaker recalling more than 8,000 cars. GM says rear brake rotors were mistakenly installed on the front of the 2014 Buick Lacrosse and Chevrolet Malibu cars.
The rear rotors are thinner, so brake pads will wear faster.
Dealers were told to stop delivering the cars on May 1.
This is the 24th GM recall announcement this year.
