(INDIANAPOLIS) - Metro police have arrested a man for the death of his 88-year-old mother last year.
Police say William Rainsberger called 911 on November 19, 2013 and said he found his mother lying on the floor at the entrance to her apartment. Ruth Rainsberger was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition with a head wound and died early the next day.
A warrant for William Rainsberger's arrest was issued last Thursday and he was taken into custody without incident Tuesday morning. He has formally been charged with murder.
