(UNDATED) - Wednesday afternoon’s storms created a busy day for first responders in Central Indiana.
IFD and IEMS crews were dispatched to over 140 incidents between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Four of those runs were working fires including one two-alarm fire at an apartment complex on the city's south side.
Firefighters were called just before 5 p.m. to the Fox Club Apartments near Keystone and Hanna Avenues and found heavy fire from one of the apartment buildings. The fire was under control in about 35 minutes.
16 units were affected and damage was estimated at $250,000 dollars.
IFD Captain Rita Reith (RITE) says investigators believe lightning strikes were to blame for the Fox Club fire as well as a fire at a south side home and a northeast side veterinary clinic.
No injuries were reported in any of the fires.
Lightning is also being blamed on a house fire in Greenwood.
