(LAFAYETTE) - The man accused of shooting and stabbing Purdue University student Andrew Boldt to death is pursuing the insanity defense in his trial.
The lawyer for accused shooter Cody Cousins on Thursday filed papers to indicate plans to pursue the insanity defense.
On May 15, the court granted Cousins' attorney a request to have Cousins' mental health evaluated.
No decision had been made as of Thursday on Cousins' attorney's request to have the trial moved out of Tippecanoe County. A hearing is scheduled for Friday.
