(ZIONSVILLE) - Audra Casterline of Fishers was crowned Miss Indiana 2013 and Maddie Bryan of Laotto was crowned Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen at the Zionsville High School Performing Arts Center in Zionsville.
The Miss Indiana Scholarship Pageant presented nearly $50,000 in total scholarship money to Miss and Teen contestants during this week's competition.
Miss Indiana Results
Audra Casterline is 23, her local title was Miss Hoosier Heartland and she is a graduate of Anderson University. Her platform is "Food for Thought: Increasing Awareness of Eating Disorders," she is a vocalist and she sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in competition. Audra will serve as Miss Indiana for the next year and will represent Indiana at the Miss America Competition, in Atlantic City, NJ, on September 14, 2013.
First runner-up to Miss Indiana was Miss Northwest Territory Presley Moreland, 21 of Bicknell; 2nd runner-up was Miss Metropolitan Morgan Jackson, 20, of Charlestown; 3rd runner-up was Miss Fort Wayne Morgan Grady, 22, of Fort Wayne and 4th runner-up was Miss Great Lakes Rose McClimans, 21, of South Bend.
A record 34 young women between the ages of 17 and 24, from all over Indiana, competed this week in three preliminary nights of competition in talent, lifestyle and fitness in swimwear, evening wear and onstage question, and all had a ten-minute private interview with judges. From this, a Top 10 group of finalists was named at the beginning of tonight's competition.
Fans were once again asked to vote online for a favorite contestant who was then named the Peoples' Choice 11th Semi-Finalist and competed in tonight's final competition. Miss Indiana South Jacqueline Bell, 20, of Seymour was named the Peoples' Choice Semi-Finalist.
The remaining Semi-Finalists were Miss Northeast, Megan Thwaites, 22, of Garrett; Miss Elkhart County Gracie Lyons, 22, of Elkhart, Miss Heart of Indiana Kathleen Raab, 23, of South Bend, Miss Duneland, Courtney Jurick, 24, of Valparaiso and Miss Harvest Homecoming, Paige Conrad, 22, of Sellersburg.
Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen Results
The new Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen winner Maddie Bryan, 16, was Miss Three Rivers Festival's Outstanding Teen. She is a student at East Noble High School, her platform is "Finding Your Passion: Encouraging Extracurricular Involvement" and she won two preliminary awards this week for Active Wear and Talent - in which she did a clogging routine to a Michael Jackson "Bad" Remix. Maddie will represent Indiana in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Competition, in Orlando, in August.
First runner-up to Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen was Miss Fort Wayne's Outstanding Teen Alexandra Dallas, 17, of Angola; 2nd runner-up was Miss Northwest Territory's Outstanding Teen Alena Rhea, 17, of Loogootee; 3rd runner-up was Miss Great Lakes' Outstanding Teen Kassidy Tharp, 17, of Shelburn and 4th runner-up was Miss Metropolitan's Outstanding Teen Audrey Ferguson, 16, of Evansville.

The Teen People's Choice winner was Miss Hoosier Heartland's Outstanding Teen Ellie Barmes,14, of Vincennes, who also competed in tonight's final competition.
The remaining Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen Semi-Finalists were Miss Fall Festival's Outstanding Teen Paige Harder, 17, of Zionsville, Miss Southern Heartland's Outstanding Teen Ali Skinner, 17, of Vincennes, Miss Indiana South's Outstanding Teen Virginia Deig, 17, of Evansville, Miss Heart of Indiana's Outstanding Teen Lydia Tremaine, 16, of Kendallville and Miss Duneland's Outstanding Teen, Esther Sarah Bower, 17, of Oxford.
Once again, the "Joy of Life" Scholarship was presented in honor and memory of Joy Robbins, to both a Teen and Miss contestant. This year's winners, who were anonymously chosen, based upon their essays, were Miss Huntington Allis Harris, 23, of Huntington and Miss Northeast's Outstanding Teen Megan Smaltz, 17 of Auburn.

Several Preliminary and Non-Finalist Awards were presented tonight and earlier this week to both Miss and Teen contestants.
Miss:
Preliminary Talent winners were Miss Heart of Indiana Kathleen Raab, 23, of South Bend, Miss Great Lakes, Rose McClimans, a 21-year-old student at the University of Notre Dame and Miss Harvest Homecoming, Paige Conrad, 22, of Sellersburg.
Preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit winners were Miss Northeast, Megan Thwaites, 22, of Garrett, Miss Fort Wayne, Morgan Grady, 22, of Fort Wayne and Miss Elkhart County Gracie Lyons, 22, of Elkhart
Preliminary Interview winners were Megan Thwaites, Paige Conrad and Miss Purdue University Emily Mishler, 22, of Goshen.
Non-finalist talent went to Miss Wabash Valley Taylor Knox, 19, of Auburn, who performed a tap dance to "Don't Stop Me Now." Non-finalist interview winner was Miss Ball State University Chloe Anagnos, 21, of Elkhart.

Non-finalist talent went to Miss South Central's Outstanding Teen Shelby Kate Everitt, 14, of Carmel, who performed a lyrical dance to "Via Dolorosa."
Other awards and honors:
The Children's Miracle Network "Miracle Maker" Awards, honoring those who raised the most money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, were presented earlier this week to Miss Metropolitan Morgan Jackson, 20, of Charlestown, Miss Vincennes University Hannah Swan, 20, of Vincennes and Miss Northwest Territory's Outstanding Teen Alena Rhea, 17, of Loogootee.
The Miss America Community Service Award, presented by the Miss America Organization, went to Miss Huntington, Alli Harris, 23, of Huntington. The Miss America Academic Award went to Miss Collegiate North, Lexie Costa, a 20-year-old student at Purdue University.
The Hoosier Leadership Memorial Scholarships were presented by the Miss Indiana Local Directors Association to Miss Indiana State University Jessica Weesner, 22, of Cambridge City and Miss Fall Festival's Outstanding Teen Paige Harder, 17, of Zionzville.
The Arts in Action Dance Award, sponsored by Former Miss Indiana Cyd Legler, was presented to Rose McClimans, who scored the most preliminary points among Miss contestant dancers.
The Newcomer Award for the first-time Miss contestant who scored the most points as a non-finalist went to Miss Vincennes University Hannah Swan, 20, of Vincennes.
The "Hoosier Spirit" Miss Congeniality award for Miss went to Miss Huntington Alli Harris and Miss West Central's Outstanding Teen Tilly Marlatt, 17, of Attica for Teen.
For the first time, the Fourpoints Scholarship was presented by David White and Ryan Capps to Miss Purdue Emily Mishler and Miss Fort Wayne's Outstanding Teen Alexandra Dallas.
Terrin Thomas, Miss Indiana 2013 of Auburn, a student at Indiana University and Kylie Wheeler, Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen of Georgetown, passed on their titles tonight.
The 2014 Miss Indiana is Audra Casterline.
