(ANDERSON ) - State police say a semi failed to slow down for traffic and caused a fatal chain-reaction crash on Interstate 69 in Madison County.
The crash happened Monday night in the middle of a construction zone between Pendleton and Anderson.
Troopers say a northbound semi hit a car, causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
The car that was hit by the semi flew forward and hit a pickup truck. The pickup truck then hit the vehicle in front of it. The driver of the initial vehicle hit by the semi was killed
