(UNDATED) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have arrested nearly 300 illegal aliens in six states including Indiana.
More than 200 of them have criminal convictions.
"Operation Cross Creek" began May 18th and concluded Saturday. 42 arrests were made in Indianapolis, including a 39-year-old Mexican national convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor. He remains in custody, pending a hearing before an immigration judge.
A second Mexican national, a 24-year-old man, was arrested in Bluffton. He was convicted of performing sexual misconduct in the presence of a minor and is already awaiting deportation.
