(INDIANAPOLIS) - Illinois-based Peapod is seeking tax abatement on plans to build a grocery distribution center in Indianapolis.
The online grocery delivery service says the more than 5-million dollar investment would result in over 230 new jobs by 2018.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission is scheduled to hear the request at its Wednesday meeting. If approved, it would likely come up for a final vote on June 18.
