(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis police squad car was essentially destroyed Wednesday morning after someone lit it on fire in front of a home in a north-side neighborhood.
The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) headed to a home in the 9000 block of Dewberry Court (see map below) just before 6:30 a.m. to respond to a car fire.
When crews arrived, they said an Indianapolis police (IMPD) car was aflame in the driveway of the home.
IFD and IMPD fire investigators said the fire was intentionally set and they are beginning their investigation into the arson.
No one was injured, but as you can see in photos, the squad car appears to be ruined.
