Man Fatally Shot During Home Break In

(DENVER) - A Miami County homeowner fatally shot a man who broke into the home.

Sheriff's officials say 30-year-old Donny Sturgill of Peru died in the shooting Saturday night in a home near the town of Denver.

Investigators found signs of forced entry into the residence, and the unidentified homeowner claims to have shot Sturgill in self-defense.
