(UNDATED) - Some delegates at the state GOP convention in Fort Wayne reportedly didn’t seem to mind comments about NAZI Germany made by State Treasurer Richard Mourdock.
Mourdock used the anniversary of D-Day to compare the financial climate of the U.S. to NAZI Germany. Mourdock said the German people were desperately mired in bankruptcy and they selected Adolf Hitler.
Allen County GOP chair Steve Shine took no issue with the language used. Shine says he embraced Mourdocks comments. He said it was a "good historical perspective as to what good happen when people put faith into a charismatic leader rather into the philosophies of what makes a nation great."
