(MIAMI CO.) - A Peru man drowned Saturday in Mississinewa Lake in an area referred to as “The Cove’”.
Indiana Conservation Officers responded to a call for help at Mississinewa Lake Saturday evening.
According to witnesses at the scene, 32-year-old Adron Robinson of Peru was swimming across a cove to some friends but never made it.
Conservation Officers in the area responded immediately. Once on scene, Indiana Conservation Officer Divers entered the water and found Robinson in about one minute. Despite their efforts, emergency personnel were unable to revive him.
Indiana Conservation Officers remind everyone to wear a life jacket while boating or swimming in lakes.
