(COLUMBUS) - Columbus police arrested a man they say traveled from Indianapolis to Columbus in order to distribute heroin.
Narcotics detectives orchestrated a deal to buy 20 grams in heroin from Timothy Ford, 21, Indianapolis. They arrested him Wednesday around 5:30 p.m. Police said the heroin was worth more than $2,000.
Ford faces a preliminary charge of dealing in heroin over three grams, a class A felony. He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail while police completed their investigation.
Police believe Ford has transported various amounts of heroin from Indianapolis to the Columbus area in the past. They anticipate additional arrests in the case.
