(INDIANAPOLIS) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say a woman was shot in the face at an apartment complex near 96th and Allisonville Road as she and a friend returned home on the north side of the city on Saturday.
The incident happened around 4:30 in the morning.
The wounded woman, Teria Anderson, was rushed to hospital where she was listed in serious condition.
Her companion was able to run away and apparently was not seriously injured.
Other than to say he was black, police have not issued a description of the shooter, who bolted from the scene, nor have they indicated what they think prompted the incident.
