(SHELBYVILLE) - Shelbyville police arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of his girlfriend four years ago.
Scott Schuck was arrested on a charge of voluntary manslaughter. Police blocked off roads Tuesday to search for Rebecca Cassidy, who was last seen four years ago. Crews dug for hours looking for her remains.
Schuck told FOX59 he was Cassidy's boyfriend for five years and denied having any knowledge of her disappearance.
"Her and I's relationship, we connected, she came a long way and everything," Schuck told FOX59 Tuesday. "I have no clue what happened. I just know when she left here it's the last time I've seen her."
Cassidy, a mother of two, was reported missing after she failed to show up for work in April 2010.
Search dogs, detectives and experts from the University of Indianapolis Archaeology and Forensics team were all looking for Cassidy's remains.
