(HOPE) - The Columbus bomb squad was called to Hope over the weekend to defuse a Drano bomb.
The Hope Star-Journal report that an anonymous tip led police to four teens trying to set off the chemical explosive about 100 feet from a propane tank on South Street early Sunday morning.
The bomb is made of drain cleaner and other chemicals in a two liter bottle, causing a chemical explosion. Police told the newspaper that the teens threw the bomb but it did not explode.
The teens were turned over to their parents but information has been sent to the county prosecutor's office for possible charges.
