(AVON) - Funeral services are planned today for a 7-year-old boy who died in a retention pond in Avon.
Javon Shaw was pulled from the pond last Monday.
Some of those in attendance at a prayer vigil yesterday were also at the pond when they were responding to a 10-year-old's plea to help his drowning cousin.
Shaw's parents thanked the good Samaritans who rushed to pull him out of the water and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
