(INDIANAPOLIS) - Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry says they’re still determining how change of venue trials will work for the suspects in the Richmond Hill subdivision explosion.
Curry says all sides agreed to change of venue petitions to ensure fair trails for Mark Leonard, former girlfriend Monserrate Shirley and his brother Bob Leonard. All face murder and other charges following the November 2012 house explosion that killed two and damages dozens of homes in the southside Indianapolis subdivision.
Curry says it's yet to be determined how the change of venue work. It's uncertain whether the trials will be held in other counties or will jury pools themselves be chosen from other counties.
Curry says the change of venue means the proceedings will be very expensive although he's not certain of the cost.
He says Mark Leonard's trial will be first, likely next February.
