Lugar Seeks Hoosier Republican Women For Leadership Training

Last updated on Friday, July 11, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The deadline to apply for the 25th Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series is Friday, Aug. 1.

The "Lugar Series" has sought to provide a first-class leadership training experience that encourages, mentors, and prepares selected women leaders from across Indiana to seek new levels of personal achievement and public involvement. The program gives participants unique access to public officials and an effective and diverse statewide political network.

We encourage you to share the application with your friends and colleagues who might be interested in applying or might know someone that should apply.

Lugar Series applicants should have demonstrated leadership skills in their fields of work or community service. Class members are chosen by a competitive application and interview process.

"We have three, highly qualified women candidates leading our statewide ticket in November," said Indiana Republican Party Chairman Tim Berry. "Secretary of State Connie Lawson, Auditor of State Suzanne Crouch and Kelly Mitchell for Treasurer of State continue to set the bar high and we are excited about the role the Lugar Series plays in building a deep bench of motivated Republican women."

For more information or questions, please contact the Lugar Series at lugarseries@gmail.com or 317-536-6900. The program continues to be a success because of the legacy of the women who have participated. Applications and additional information can be found at www.LugarSeries.com.
