(CARLISLE) - A man is facing preliminary misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and criminal mischief after kicking in the door of the K-9 building on the grounds of the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle.
Corrections officials say 32-year-old Noel Mendoza-Huerta ran when approached by a Correctional Officer Regina Ward.
He was located in Carlisle where he was living in a motel. Huerta was transported back to the facility where his shoe was a perfect match for a shoe print left on the door.
A check of the K-9 building revealed nothing missing.
Huerta was booked into the Sullivan County Jail on $8,000 bond.
