(INDIANAPOLIS) - A doctor with Indiana ties who contracted the Ebola virus in West Africa was released from an Atlanta hospital Thursday.
Dr Kent Brantly worked in Liberia treating patients with the deadly virus when he fell ill.
He and Nancy Writebol received experimental treatment before being flown to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta earlier this month. Writebol was released Tuesday.
In the meantime, state health workers in california are trying to identify people who may have come in contact with a patient being tested for Ebola.
The health department says it's simply being cautious.
