(CARMEL) - Police in Carmel arrested a woman early Wednesday morning after they say she fired a weapon at her husband while inside their home.
Officers responded to the 11600 block of Rosemeade Drive shortly after 1 a.m. They were called there on the report of a domestic disturbance involving a weapon.
When police got to the home they spoke with a 67-year-old man who said his wife, 65-year-old Sheryl Sommerkamp, had fired a weapon at him while inside their house.
Police say the bullets did not hit anyone. During the struggle, the man suffered minor injuries. Police say he did not require medical attention.
After investigating, police arrested Sheryl Sommerkamp on preliminary charges of Level 3 aggravated battery, Level 5 battery, and Level 5 criminal recklessness with a weapon. She was taken to the Hamilton County Jail where her bond was set at $45,000.
