(INDIANAPOLIS) - The City of Indianapolis has agreed to continue funding its share of the Amtrak Hoosier State Line through the end of 2014.
Indianapolis had planned to pull its funding because the contract with the company chosen to run the Hoosier Line did not have funds for repairs at Union Station. That move would have effectively killed the service.
Gov. Mike Pence, INDOT and the city are working on a long-term deal.
