(SCOTT CO.) - An Austin man charged with murder in the 2009 death of a co-worker took a plea deal Monday.
Robert Riley pleaded guilty to murder and removal of a body from the scene in the death of Paul Graupe.
Riley admitted to stabbing Graupe to death, moving his body, removing the carpet and disposing of a knife.
Graupe was missing for three years before his body was discovered with an electrical cord around his neck.
Riley will be formally sentenced in September to 50 years for murder and three years for removal of the body, served concurrently. He's been in jail since 2012 and will receive credit for time served.
