(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police in Indianapolis are looking for a suspect wanted for a July murder.
Detectives with IMPD are looking for 24-year-old Octavio Gonzalez for the murder of 31-year-old Dexter Smith on July 12 in the 1800 block of Heather Court. An ARREST WARRANT has been issued, charging Gonzalez with murder and robbery.
Smith was found inside of a HOME on Heather Court around 11 a.m. July 12 suffering from obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Gonzalez may have fled to Atlanta but they aren't certain of his whereabouts.
