(MONTICELLO) - Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a five-year-old boy who drowned in a bathtub Wednesday night at a home near Monticello.
Police were called to the 1100 block of West Hanawalt Road shortly after 6:00 p.m. on a report of a child not breathing. Investigators say a family member found Ian Davidson, 5, in the tub. That person called 911 and a neighbor, who is a paramedic, came to the house and started CPR.
Davidson was taken to IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello and later airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in Indianapolis. He was pronounced dead shortly before 2:00 Thursday morning.
Police say the boy's parents, 33-year-old Eric Davidson and 25-year-old Julia Moore were at home at the time of the drowning. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
