(NOBLESVILLE) - Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested 25 people during two Luke Bryan concerts at Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville this weekend.
On Friday and Saturday, excise officers arrested 25 minors for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol. Four of those minors were less than 18 years of age.
Excise officers jailed Cody G. Sondgerath, 20, of West Lafayette, on a preliminary charge of illegal possession of alcohol after he was caught twice on Saturday. Sondgerath was initially issued a summons for illegal possession of alcohol in a parking lot a Klipsch. About two hours later, another officer saw him drinking a beer inside the concert. This time, he was taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
One minor was issued a warning for illegal possession of alcohol.
Indiana State Excise Police officers will continue to work closely with Klipsch Music Center safety officials to promote public safety at Klipsch concerts.
As the enforcement division of the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission, the primary mission of the Indiana State Excise Police is to promote public safety by enforcing Indiana's Alcoholic Beverage Code. While excise officers have the authority to enforce any state law, they focus primarily on alcohol, tobacco and related laws.
