(UNDATED) - Some Gmail users are checking to see if their personal information has been stolen.
Five million Gmail addresses and passwords were leaked Wednesday on a Russian website.
It's unclear how the information was obtained, and Google says its servers have not been breached.
The list appears to be a collection of passwords exposed in previous hacks.
Google says there's no telling if the list is even authentic, but they are warning users to take steps to protect their accounts, including creating stronger passwords.
Google has locked out the accounts included in the leak and users are being directed to a Google site where they can reset their passwords and regain access to their accounts.
