(WASHINGTON, DC) - Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.), a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Tuesday spoke on the Senate floor and urged President Barack Obama to present a clear and substantive plan to defeat ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) when he addresses the nation tonight.
"President Obama's admission in a recent press conference that he has no ISIS policy was deeply concerning," said Coats. "I hope that tomorrow he will articulate a realistic and workable plan to degrade and defeat this growing danger to our nation. It is urgently important that he do so."
Last month, Coats presented an outline to dismantle ISIS, which included:
"We are at a critical moment, facing serious danger, and now is the time to act together," added Coats.
