(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus woman was arrested Tuesday evening after fleeing from police on a bicycle.
Sgt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the police department, said that Officer Troy Love noticed a woman acting suspiciously on 17th Street near Columbus Regional Hospital at about 7:45 p.m. When Love tried to talk with the woman, she fled on a bicycle. She was found a short time later behind a storage shed on Azalea Drive.
Police arrested 25-year-old Nakita L. Pittman who was wanted on a warrant. She was taken to Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia and a Bartholomew County warrant for failure to appear on a preliminary charge of conversion.
