Girl Drowns After Falling Into Pond

(FORT WAYNE) - A three-year old girl drowned after she fell off a motorized toy into a pond in Allen County.

Authorities say a four-year old boy and his three-year old sister were playing on a battery-powered replica of a John Deere Gator.

When the girl fell into the water, her brother went inside for help. The children's father wasn't able to find the girl and called police.

Rescue workers searched the pond for nearly an hour before recovering the body.
