(DES MOINES) - Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is in Iowa this week talking jobs, but his visit is prompting others to talk about a possible run for president.
The governor addressed the US Midwest Japan Conference Monday morning.
Pence is in Iowa for the 46th annual Midwest US Japan Association Conference. There are over 30 Hoosiers who are members of that delegation.
"Taking the opportunity here at this Japan Midwest Association meeting to tell Indiana's story," said the governor. "Build those relationships, encourage more investment in the Hoosier state. It is a great opportunity."
"I was in Tokyo last year and the nature of this association is they meet in Japan and the United States in alternating years and so the commitment we made was to attend this event each year whether it is in the US or Japan. I think it is important to be here for jobs in the Hoosier state," he added.
