(GREENWOOD) - When Goodwill says they take your donations, this is clearly not what they have in mind. Greenwood Police and Goodwill workers are scratching their heads after workers found a hand grenade among the donated items.
The Johnson County Daily Journal reports it happened Saturday evening.
Police arrived at the store in the 900 block of East County Line Road and found that the fuse had been pulled and the bottom drilled out to remove anything explosive inside.
They say the grenade was not dangerous, but it was indeed a grenade. They did not call out the bomb squad. Police removed it from the store and all is fine.
