(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Police report no new developments in the disappearance of six-week old boy who was snatched from his father’s arms last week.
Indiana State Police issued an Amber Alert when the infant went missing, but the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) have asked the state to cancel it now, saying they feel the public has been made sufficiently aware of the case.
IMPD say they are now treating the hunt for Delano Wilson as a search-and-rescue mission, including draining an old underground cistern in a wooded area near where the child disappeared.
The baby's father says he was struck over the head with a pistol when he was robbed, and the baby taken by a man and woman who dashed off with him.
