(UNDATED) - An umbrella caused a lockdown at a southern Indiana university.
Officers responded to call of a student walking the campus of Indiana University Southeast carrying a camouflage backpack and what appeared to be a rifle around 12:45 Thursday afternoon.
The campus was locked down and the student was found to be carrying a large umbrella in his backpack.
Chancellor Dr. Ray Wallace dispelled any thought the scare was connected to 9-11, calling it "bad timing."
The campus was given the all clear at 1:45 p.m.
No one was injured during the incident.
