(INDIANAPOLIS) - A pedestrian was killed by a train in Indianapolis Tuesday night.
Officers confirm to WTHR Eyewitness News that the unidentified victim was found dead at the scene around 9 p.m. on the CSX tracks in the 7000 block of Pendleton Pike, about 100 yards west of Shadeland Avenue.
A bicycle was found nearby. Investigators are working to confirm if the subject was riding it when they were hit by the train.
Officers aren't sure why the victim was on the tracks in the first place, and they say they are working to confirm their identity.
