(UNDATED) - Dozens of sex offenders are behind bars following a two-day sweep in Marion County.
Officers spent Tuesday and Wednesday looking for those who have failed to register or have outstanding warrants. They conducted checks at offenders' homes to make sure they live where they are registered and were otherwise in compliance with the law.
Offenders are required to register a home address and any vehicles they drive.
The final arrest numbers were still being calculated, but officers involved in the sweep called it a big success.
