(UNDATED) - Girl Scout officials are making their back to school push; saying its not just the girls involved that benefit.
Volunteers, as well, say their lives are better after working with the organization.
New data shows that 94 percent of volunteers made new friends and 88 percent think their life is better because of their involvement with the girl scouts. Those numbers from a poll involving more than 3,500 volunteers and scout parents.
Of those, 89 percent report their children are happier and 95 percent reports their kids have more friends.
The Girl scouts is open to any girl K-12 and adults over 18 can become volunteers
