(UNDATED) - The Indiana Grain Buyers and Warehouse Licensing Agency (IGBWLA) would like to remind all licensed grain facilities that they can apply for emergency or temporary storage by contacting the IGBWLA.
Indiana Code (824 lAC 2-4-11) details how temporary and emergency storage will be handled when a shortage of storage space occurs due to bumper crops as we are experiencing this fall.
Temporary storages must have an asphalt, concrete, or lime floor; sidewalls; ability to aerate; waterproofed covering; and must be removed by May 1, 2015.
For emergency storage options, the grain must be owned by the elevator; stored grain is not allowed; and the container must be removed by January 31, 2015.
For more information, please contact IGBWLA at (317) 232-1360.
