(SULLIVAN) - The Indiana Department of Transportation will be closing State Road 48 between U.S. 41 and State Road 63 starting Monday for a chip-seal treatment.
This section of SR 48 will be closed for four days with a detour for heavy traffic.
INDOT crews will be applying this chip-seal treatment to preserve and protect the estimated seven miles of road. Loose stone will be temporarily on the highway during the beginning stages.
Drivers are urged to slow down and allow additional space between vehicles to prevent chips from damaging windshield or paint on vehicles.
