(LAFAYETTE) - Reports of a possible Ebola case in Lafayette were proven untrue Thursday night.
Tippecanoe County health officials say they were informed that a person was being evaluated in the emergency department at IU Health Arnett for potential symptoms of the virus. However, it was determined that individual did not have Ebola.
A hospital spokeswoman says "given the heightened awareness of the disease in the U.S., people are seeking medical attention if they are experiencing symptoms."
